Joan Pointer, a regular at one of the Centre's day clubs, recently celebrated her 100th birthday - a great excuse to have a Brooklands party!
The Centre was decorated in Joan's honour and her card from King Charles was proudly on display. There was also a beautiful cake and lots of presents.
Originally from Balham in London, Joan has lived in Streatham and Wolverton before moving to near Newport Pagnell.
She's attended the Wednesday day club for seven years, getting to the Centre by taxi each time! Last week, however, she was treated to a ride home in a limousine, courtesy of H W Mason & Sons.
When asked what her secret for reaching 100 was, Joan said: "God knows, I must have been good in life!"
Maybe there's something in the Brooklands water?!
Well done on your centenary, Joan. Here's to many more birthdays ahead of you; it was great to see you having such a wonderful time.
Many thanks to Sandra, Sandy and the Wednesday volunteers at the Centre for organising.
